Dr. Lori Rosenthal received her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana Tech University and earned her medical degree from Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine followed by a three-year residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, where she is board-certified.

Following her medical training, Dr. Rosenthal served as a clinical instructor and Medical Director of an inpatient rehabilitation center in New Orleans. After relocating and taking time to focus on her young family, she spent over a decade practicing in a clinical consulting role, providing care for individuals identified as medically high risk.

Dr. Rosenthal was drawn to Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation because of its holistic approach, requiring the integration of multiple body systems while focusing on improving function and overall quality of life. Over time, she developed a strong interest in obesity medicine after witnessing the significant impact that weight- related conditions can have on long-term health and wellness. She is currently pursuing additional education toward board certification in obesity medicine.

At ACRM, Dr. Rosenthal leads the reproductive weight loss management program, where she provides comprehensive medical assessments and develops personalized, evidence-based plans to help patients improve their overall health and optimize their chances of pregnancy. She is passionate about supporting fertility patients through sustainable lifestyle changes and values the collaborative, patient-centered approach to care that defines ACRM.

In her free time, Dr. Rosenthal enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, being outdoors, and staying active in her community and faith-based organizations.

Gail “Beth” Hide, MSN, CRNP, RDMS, joined the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) in April 2021. She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master of Science degrees in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Beth is also a certified ultrasonographer through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography and brings more than 30 years of experience in reproductive medicine, specializing in the care of patients experiencing infertility across Alabama.

At ACRM, Beth works closely with the physicians in the evaluation and treatment of both male and female infertility. She plays an integral role in supporting both new and returning patients throughout their care journey. Her clinical expertise includes enrolling patients for IVF cycles, performing ultrasound assessments, assisting with intrauterine inseminations (IUIs), managing medications, interpreting laboratory results, and supporting a wide range of fertility treatments offered in the practice.

Tracey Mendelsohn, CRNP, joined the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) in April 2022. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University in Montgomery and her Master of Science in Nursing from Troy University. Tracey brings nearly 20 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in women’s health, with the past 8 years dedicated specifically to reproductive medicine and the care of patients experiencing infertility.

At ACRM, Tracey works collaboratively with the physicians in the evaluation and treatment of both male and female infertility. She is highly skilled in diagnostic testing and interpretation, ultrasonography, IVF cycle enrollment, intrauterine insemination (IUI), medication management, and a wide range of fertility-related services.

Cecily Metzler, CRNP, has been a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner with the Alabama Center for Reproductive Medicine (ACRM) since October 2021. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in women’s health. Prior to joining ACRM, Cecily worked as a registered nurse in the Women’s Operating Room at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center for four years.

Cecily is passionate about reproductive medicine and the care of patients experiencing infertility. At ACRM, she collaborates closely with the physicians in the care of both new and returning patients. Her clinical responsibilities include managing medicated treatment cycles, performing intrauterine inseminations (IUIs), initiating IVF cycles, and supporting patients throughout their treatment journeys.

Outside of work, Cecily enjoys traveling with her husband, Andrew and their son James, as well as gardening and reading.
